Canberra
is
the National Capital of Australia. Situated approximately 200 kilometres south
of Sydney, it is not only Australia's political centre but also a centre of
arts. There you will be able to find the National Gallery of Australia, the
Australian War Memorial, Parliament House and the Nolan Gallery to name just
a few. The city of Canberra is simply beautiful. Its countryside also offers
a surprising landscape of high plateaus, thick forest and grasslands dotted
often with wildflowers and roamed by hundreds of kangaroos. Blessed with a relatively
cooler weather its surrouding regions also produce some of the finest wines
in Australia.
